Здравей. Предполагам искаш да си инсталираш драйверите на ati на ubuntu,ако е така следвай тази статия.

Никога не съм пробвал ати и честно ще научквам. Гледам, че има проблем при хедърите на ядрото, а ти инсталирал ли си ги?
Пробвай да свалиш целият сорс, не само хедърите на самото ядро, което ползваш.

Правя това което е написано горе нз какво се е свалило. Как да дръпна тея сорсове

Благодаря за стаията.
Инсталациата мина безпроблемно, но филмите и игрите(т.е. SuperTux- само нея пробвах) вървяха изключително бавно, на изключителни насечки.
За това се върнах на ati драйвера ми, който си беше по подразбиране.
Но не мога да подкарам като хората conky.
когато го вкл. иконките на деска изчезват
Идеи за оправяне на проблема?

бях се настоил за победа с мисалта че съм се преборил и с последния пробем но явно битката продължава.
Та като си променя xorg.conf и го рестартна и ми вади това:

А xserver-xorg-core коя версия ти е?
Имай в предвид, че няма да можеш да инсталираш fglrx в/у най-новата версия на xserver-xorg. Най-добре е да направиш downgrade до версии:
xserver-xorg 7.1.0-16
xserver-xorg-core 1.1.1-21
от хранилищата на stable. С тях няма проблеми. Можеш да избереш желания пакет в Synaptic, после: Пакет->Принудителен избор на версия...

обаче незнам дали дето минах на по долна версия или нещо друго ми се прецака Skype и OpenOffice преди това си вървяха.

Истеглих си модула fglrx инсталирах го но като промених Xorg.conf машината никога не иска да пусне X.

Съжелявам, че будя толкова стара тема но не виждам смисъл от нова.. имам проблем всичко ок мина докато не написах "init 5" компютъра се рестартира и сега не ще да тръгнееее зарежда си нормално всичко до последно, накрая kdm се зарежда и до там, черен екран и никва реакция.. прецъква диода за процесора като натисна нещо но това е.

Какъв е монитора? Пробвай да натиснеш ctrl и alt и - (минус)

Лаптоп е компютъра, съжелявам, че не уточних MSI MEGABOOK L715
ctrl + alt + - не става нищо. Монитора обаче работи виждам ГРУБ-а после докато зарежда модулите и останалите нещица виждам, докато не зареди кдм-то..
